An Update on AnthroMinds!

Recently, we had a guest speaker and a club collaboration. For the club collaboration, we partnered with the Drawing Club to create works of art that represent what mental health means to our club members. During an art session, we started making our drawings, and both clubs will showcase their works of art during our first meeting this year, which will take place on the same day and in the same room.

We were fortunate to have Lien Flores, our guest speaker, talk about trauma. Her presentation was informative and enlightening, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Her talk attracted many more people to the meeting, and we hope to have more in-person guest speakers this year rather than online sessions. Lien discussed various factors in trauma and provided both mental and medical information and what happens in the body when dealing with both mental and medical issues.

We wrapped up our last meeting of the year with a pizza party, where we invited previous members to celebrate the end of the school year and the last AnthroMinds meeting of the semester. We had pizza, cookies, soda, cupcakes, and more to enjoy and celebrate!
