We kicked off the new year with the January Tap Trip at Fa Yun Chan Temple, and it felt great to get back into the groove. This trip was pretty similar to what we’ve done before. Lots of digging, moving dirt, and just getting our hands dirty to improve the temple space. I think that there’s something satisfying about seeing an area slowly take shape after months of work.

Everyone jumped in, passing buckets, shoveling, and helping each other out. Teamwork really makes the difference. You start with a messy patch of ground, and by the end of the day, it’s clear that all that effort actually did something. Some sections got leveled, some got filled in - progress.

Of course, after a morning of work, we had a well-deserved break for lunch. Food always hits different after digging and moving dirt for hours. In the afternoon, we wrapped up the last bits of clearing and organizing, making sure the area looked neat.

It’s awesome to see the temple space slowly transform with each trip. I can’t wait to see what we tackle next!
