War (AP Exams) is Over

I’m officially done with every AP exam I will ever take in high school. Thank goodness.

I had AP Gov on Tuesday, which I self-studied because I couldn’t fit the class into my schedule this year. Somehow the most memorable part of the exam ended up being... a banana. I had one in a Ziploc bag under my desk, and the proctor called me out in front of everyone for it. I had to do the walk of shame all the way to the back of the gym just to put the banana in my backpack while people were laughing. Genuinely so embarrassing. The actual exam was super long too. Especially the MCQ. They gave us way too much time. I finished and then just sat there. Hoping for a 5, but realistically maybe a 4.

Then came AP Physics 2 on Thursday morning. That class has been a whole saga because our teacher got put on administrative leave back in January, so I basically had to self-study the entire second half of the course. Not exactly ideal for physics. The MCQ was manageable, but those FRQs were really rough. I’m just hoping I passed at this point. Maybe a 4 if the AP gods are feeling generous.

Right after Physics, I had AP Stats. Back-to-back APs should be illegal. But it actually felt pretty good. The MCQ was easy overall, and while I definitely messed up parts of some FRQs, I’m still hoping for a 5.

And finally, this morning was AP Spanish. That exam felt never-ending. Most of the MCQ was okay, except some of the listening passages were hard to understand. I legit didn't even understand one of the conversations at all. The essay and email were thankfully really easy, but tspeaking sections... On the conversation, I completely stuttered at the beginning and felt like I barely said anything meaningful. Then on the cultural comparison, I talked way too fast and ended with like 10 extra seconds, so I just started repeating ideas and rambling. I hope I got at least a 4.

But, regardless of scores, I’m just so happy to be done. High school AP season is officially over for me. Now I just need to survive college exams, which I fear might somehow be worse.
