Life Lately

Just wanted to do a quick life update because the past couple of months have been kind of chaotic. Like, everything happening all at once chaotic.

It started with me getting sick, and somehow that lined up perfectly with getting my wisdom teeth out. 0/10 experience. Being sick while recovering from surgery is not something I’d recommend to anyone. I spent a lot of time on the couch, surviving on miso soup, pain meds, and YouTube videos.

Right after that, I went to LA to visit family for Thanksgiving. It was nice to be around people and take a break from school stress, even though I was still recovering. As soon as I got back, it was straight into college application mode. Writing essays, editing essays, rereading essays, and literally questioning every word choice at least five times. It definitely felt like a grind, but I’m glad I pushed through.

Then came Christmas in NYC, which was honestly really fun. The city felt so alive during the holidays, and it was nice to step away from my routine for a bit. Of course, I somehow managed to get sick again while I was there, which feels very on-brand for how this season has been going.

After we got back, more family came over to celebrate my grandma’s birthday, which was actually a nice way to slow things down and reconnect. Being surrounded by family reminded me to appreciate the moments that aren’t about college app deadlines or stress lol.

I finally feel like things are settling down, and I’m ready to get back into my normal schedule. I’m really excited to reset, focus, and just be consistent again.

If you’ve stuck around through all of this, thank you. I’m really glad you’re here 💛

The Tap Initiative January Tap Trip

We kicked off the new year with the January Tap Trip at Fa Yun Chan Temple, and it felt great to get back into the groove. This trip was pretty similar to what we’ve done before. Lots of digging, movi
