The Science Alliance Fair was honestly such a great experience. Over 200 buddies and mentors from all four high schools in our district came together for a day full of science, stations, and some seriously creative projects. It was cool seeing how many students showed up ready to either present their experiments or help out with the event.
Each school ran a different science station. Ours was the bubble station, which was a huge hit. We had buddies experimenting with bubble shapes, sizes, and even trying to build bubble towers. Other schools had their own stations too, like physics, chemistry, robotics, and biology, so the whole event had a nice mix of science fields.
We split up responsibilities between officers. Half of us were judges for the buddies' science projects, and the other half ran our stations and kept everything running smoothly. While one group of buddies was being judged, the rest rotated through the different stations. Then we had a snack break, switched the groups, and kept the fair going.

After lunch, we all gathered for the awards ceremony. Out of the top three winners and ten honorable mentions, two buddies from our school earned honorable mentions, which was super exciting. You could tell how proud their mentors were, and honestly, it felt like a win for all of us.
It was a long day, but totally worth it. Seeing how much work the buddies put into their projects and how many people came together to make the fair happen reminded me why this program is so meaningful. Whether you were judging, managing a station, or just helping a buddy feel confident, everyone played a part. Can’t wait to do it again next year.
