Hello everyone! I'm excited to share that I've been awarded the NSHSS Advocacy & Activism Scholarship. It's incredible to be recognized for something I'm genuinely passionate about—working toward meaningful change and speaking up for causes that matter. With so many inspiring applicants, each with their dedication and projects, being chosen feels humbling and motivating.
For me, this scholarship represents more than just recognition. It's a reminder of the importance of staying committed to advocacy, even when the journey gets challenging or uncertain. I've invested much time and effort into these initiatives, sometimes without knowing if the impact would reach anyone or resonate as I'd hoped. Receiving this award makes all those moments worthwhile and gives me fresh energy to keep moving forward.
Knowing that organizations like NSHSS actively support young advocates is a powerful encouragement. It's easy to feel like you're working in a vacuum, but NSHSS says, "We see what you're doing, and we believe in it." That boost I didn't even know I needed meant a lot.
