The Tap Initiative December Tap Trip

Writer's picture: Arjun PatelArjun Patel

This December, the Tap Initiative continued its mission of making an impact, and while I wasn’t able to join this time, the incredible work done by our members deserves a spotlight!

The day kicked off with a fresh addition to our process: a brand-new hours tracking sheet that members used to log their contributions. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with members appreciating the organized and easy-to-use system. It’s always great to see innovation in action, and this small change made the experience even smoother for everyone involved.

For this trip, the task at hand was to tackle a new section of the project site, and the team delivered with their usual enthusiasm and teamwork. Members worked together to clear debris, prepare the soil, and ensure everything was set for the next phase of planting.

Of course, no Tap Trip would be complete without a break for pizza, and this time, I had the chance to contribute in a different way—I bought the pizza for everyone! Hearing about the laughter and conversations that filled the lunch break made me feel like I was part of the experience.

One of the highlights of the day was the creativity and energy members brought to capturing the moment. Photos and videos were taken throughout the trip, showcasing the hard work, collaboration, and fun that define our events. These memories remind us why we do what we do and help us share our mission with a wider audience.

The December Tap Trip not only marked progress on the project but also introduced tools and traditions that will enhance our efforts moving forward. To everyone who participated: your dedication and teamwork continue to inspire, and I can’t wait to join you again at the next trip!

Let’s keep making a difference, one step (and slice of pizza) at a time.
