The Tap Initiative February Tap Trip

This month’s trip was less about dirt piles and more about getting into the nitty-gritty of clearing land. We started off by splitting up. A few people helped move furniture around the temple, while the rest of us headed to this big patch of wild grass that looked like it hadn’t been touched in years.

Pulling up weeds and overgrown grass sounds simple until you're actually doing it under the sun, one handful at a time. But honestly, it was kind of peaceful. Once we got into a rhythm, the whole group just locked in. Every time we cleared a new section, it felt like we were actually getting somewhere. You could look back and see the change happening right in front of you.

Someone even planted a tree, which was a nice moment. It reminded us that this wasn’t just cleanup; it was prep work for something new. We weren’t just removing stuff. We were making space for what comes next.

By the time we wrapped up, the area looked totally different. It still needs work, but getting halfway through in just a few hours felt like a win. Everyone who came out really showed up and made an impact.

Thanks to everyone who was there. See you next time.
