The March trip had a different kind of energy. This time, we focused more on cleaning and organizing than heavy lifting, but it still felt like we got a lot done. Once we arrived, people split into groups. Some volunteers worked inside the temple, sweeping out the hall and getting rid of dust that had probably been sitting there for months. Others helped sort supplies and move things around to make the space more functional for upcoming events.

Outdoors, a few of us took on the task of clearing leaves and debris from the walkways and around the garden areas. It wasn’t anything dramatic, but it definitely made the place feel cleaner and more cared for. Little details like that go a long way in keeping the temple a welcoming space.

Lunch was a definite highlight- pizza, of course. After a few hours of constant sweeping and organizing, sitting down with everyone and grabbing a few slices just hit the spot. We talked, joked around, and took a break before jumping back in for the final stretch.

By the end of the day, the space looked noticeably better. It wasn’t about transforming the entire area in one go, but about making steady progress. Every little task added up, and it felt good to know we played a part in that.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and stuck it out. See you next month.
