The Tap Initiative May Tap Trip

After taking April off for AP exams (which definitely took enough energy on their own), we came back strong for the May Tap trip. This time, the main mission was simple but intense: move dirt. A lot of it. 

 

We were helping prep the area for future construction, so the goal was to clear and level out a section of the yard. It started off feeling endless, but once we got into a rhythm: passing buckets, digging in teams, and building those mini dirt piles. We actually made solid progress. It was hot, it was dusty, and it was honestly a workout, but everyone powered through.

Some people helped transport soil while others smoothed out the space behind them, so it felt super collaborative. It wasn’t flashy, but these kinds of trips are where the impact really shows. You look back at the space and realize how different it looks from just a few hours earlier. 

 

It felt good to be back with the team after the break, doing something hands-on again. The project’s coming together little by little, and we’re proud to be a part of it.
