Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting in a while. I have been busy at the UCSB SRA program researching antibiotic resistance and will elaborate more on that. I also received a rejection letter from the Journal of High School Science for the literature review I wrote last summer.
Firstly, at UCSB, I am simulating and comparing the emergence of antibiotic resistance when administering a combination of drugs versus a single drug to determine which approach is more effective at limiting resistance. I have a fantastic group of 2 other people who will conduct research with me, write a formal research paper, and present everything at a Capstone Seminar. I have 80-hour-long weeks and will be swamped for the next month.
I plan on revising my literature review manuscript to make it shorter. It is 103 pages, and I want to get it down to 20-25 if possible. However, I will have to do this after the UCSB SRA program because it is too rigorous for me to be doing anything besides it. However, when I return, I am confident that I can make the revisions in a timely manner and submit them to the National High School Journal of Science before school starts back up in early August.
Since I have missed a few blog posts recently, I will be back this weekend to discuss my online AP Calculus AB course and why I am taking it. Thanks for listening!
